Terms & Conditions

By placing an order with Laundry Doorstep, you agree to the following terms and conditions.

1. Service Overview

Laundry Doorstep provides a convenient wash, dry, fold, and optional ironing service with pickup and delivery. We aim to deliver a reliable, high-quality service for everyday household laundry.

2. Pricing

Main Laundry

  • Standard laundry: $30 per 5kg load

  • Doona – Single / King Single: $30 each

  • Doona – Queen / King: $40 each

Pickup & Delivery

  • $5 flat fee per order

  • FREE pickup & delivery on orders over $55

Ironing Add-On

  • Kids clothes & pillow cases: $2.50 each

  • T-shirts, shorts, skirts, jeans, trousers: $3.00 each

  • Business shirts: $4.00 each

  • Single bedding / tablecloths: $6.00 each

  • Complex dresses: $8.00 each

  • Double / Queen bedding: $9.00 each

  • King bedding: $11.00 each

3. Load Weight Policy

  • 1 standard laundry basket ≈ 5kg dry weight

  • Loads exceeding 5kg will be charged as additional loads

  • Final weight is determined by Laundry Doorstep

4. Separation Policy

  • A $15 fee per 5kg load applies if you request whites and colours to be washed separately

  • If no instructions are provided, items may be washed together at customer risk

5. Pickup & Delivery

  • Free pickup & delivery for orders over $55

  • $5 fee applies for orders under $55

  • Standard turnaround time: 24–48 hours

  • Timeframes are estimates only and not guaranteed

  • After-hours pickup & delivery available by arrangement

6. Booking & Property Access

  • Customers must ensure safe and clear access to pickup and delivery locations

  • If access is not available or laundry is not ready:

    • A missed service fee ($10–$20) may apply

  • Delays caused by customer unavailability may extend turnaround time

7. Customer Responsibilities

Customers must:

  • Check all pockets before pickup

  • Remove valuables (money, jewellery, keys, etc.)

  • Inform us of delicate or special-care items

  • Ensure laundry is securely bagged

Laundry Doorstep is not responsible for:

  • Items left in pockets

  • Damage caused by foreign objects (e.g. pens, tissues)

8. Washing Process & Risk

  • All items are washed using standard commercial detergents

  • Items may be washed, dried, and folded together unless requested otherwise

  • Washing is done at the customer’s risk if:

    • Care labels are missing

    • Items are unsuitable for machine washing or drying

9. Stains & Cleaning Results

  • We take care with all items; however:

    • Stain removal is not guaranteed

    • Some stains may be permanent

  • Heavily soiled items may incur additional charges (with notice)

10. Delicate & Special Items

  • We do not guarantee results for delicate items such as:

    • Silk, wool, or specialty fabrics

  • Customers should notify us in advance

  • We recommend using professional dry-cleaning services for such items

11. Loss or Damage

  • We handle all laundry with care

  • In case of proven damage caused by us:

    • Compensation is limited to the fair market value (not replacement new value)

  • Claims must be reported within 24 hours of delivery

12. High-Value & Sentimental Items

  • This service is intended for everyday laundry only

  • Do not include:

    • Designer or luxury clothing

    • Expensive garments

    • Sentimental or irreplaceable items

  • If included, items are processed at customer’s own risk

  • Liability is limited to:

    • Maximum $100 per item, or

    • Fair market value (whichever is lower)

  • We are not responsible for:

    • Colour fading

    • Shrinkage

    • Fabric wear

    • Manufacturer defects

13. Hygiene & Refusal of Service

We may refuse service for items that are:

  • Contaminated with bodily fluids

  • Exposed to chemicals

  • Excessively dirty, mouldy, or unsafe

14. Payment Terms

  • Payment is required before or at delivery

  • Orders may not be released until payment is received in full

15. Cancellations & Changes

  • Please provide reasonable notice for cancellations

  • Repeated late cancellations may incur a fee or affect future bookings

16. Contactless Pickup & Delivery

  • Laundry must be placed in a safe, agreed location

  • We are not responsible for loss or damage once items are delivered if unattended

17. Turnaround Disclaimer

  • Standard turnaround: 24–48 hours

  • Delays may occur due to:

    • Weather

    • High demand

    • Equipment issues

  • Customers will be informed where possible

18. Service Area

  • Services are available within designated areas only

  • Additional charges may apply outside standard zones

19. Privacy

  • Customer information is used only for service delivery and communication

  • We do not share personal information with third parties

20. Changes to Terms

Laundry Doorstep reserves the right to update these Terms & Conditions at any time. The latest version will apply to all bookings
